We currently have a fantastic opportunity for experienced Polishers either from body shop or accident repair background or similar to join a long-term contract in Crawley working on trains. Working in a train depot you will be required to prep carriages before carrying out final polishing duties on the bodywork. This role has an attractive rate of £23.00 per hour outside IR35, and will be conducted Monday to Friday on an evening shift (1100-2000).
Job Details:
- Machine Polishing: Perform high-quality machine polishing on carriage paintwork to remove surface defects such as swirl marks, holograms, light scratches etc.
- Final Finishing: Apply waxes, sealants, and ceramic coatings as required for long-term protection.
- Surface Preparation: Prepare surfaces prior to polishing by cleaning, decontaminating, and masking sensitive areas.
Job Experience:
- Experience of working in a vehicle polisher or similar environment.
- A working knowledge of H&S responsibilities.
- You must also be able to pass a medical, drug & alcohol screening.
