Are you a skilled Rolling Stock Technician looking for your next challenge in the rail industry? Looking for a role where your expertise is valued, your impact is visible, and no two shifts are ever the same? If so, TXM Recruit are working in partnership with a high-profile railway client. They are expanding their projects and are looking for multiple Rolling Stock Technicians to join their team located in the East Midlands on a contract basis. This role is paying £19 per hour (circa £40,000 per annum).

Key Accountabilities:

  • Servicing, maintenance, repair and overhaul of traction and rolling stock components and plant equipment inspection.
  • Ensuring that as part of a team, your own and your teams work targets are met.
  • Carry out all work to agreed standards and that all work undertaken is recorded and signed off on the prescribed documentation.
  • Support and give guidance to all members of the team.
  • Fault finding on rolling stock as directed by Team Leader.

Specific Experience:

  • Qualified to NVQ Level 3 standard in a relevant mechanical/electrical (or dual-skilled) engineering or maintenance discipline (e.g. Traction and Rolling Stock) or have completed a recognised apprenticeship.
  • Practical experience of mechanical and electrical discipline desired.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9002 and ISO 14001, IMS and Safety regulations.
  • Competent in Depot Protection System.

Main Details:

  • Location: East Midlands
  • Contract: 6 Months (ongoing)
  • Pay Rate: £19.46 per hour (circa £40,000 per annum)
  • Hours of Work: Monday to Friday 07:00 - 19:00 (60 hours per week)
