Do you have proven project management experience in rolling stock redelivery and hand back? Can you demonstrate experience delivering complex engineering projects on time and within budget while managing stakeholder expectations? If so, TXM Recruit are partnered with a major railway client to recruit a Redelivery Project Manager to join them based in East Midlands on a 6-month contract basis paying up to £600 per day (outside IR35).

The Role

As the Engineering Redelivery Project Manager, you'll lead a multidisciplinary team to deliver this complex rolling stock engineering project on time, within budget, and to the required standards. You will bridge any gap between internal and external stakeholders, engineers, production, finance and procurement ensuring smooth communication, risk management and finite progress tracking.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee project to completion.
  • Manage budgets, schedules, and resources effectively.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure alignment.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, intervening, coaching, redirecting as required to maintain programme.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and contractual obligations.
  • Daily, weekly and periodic reporting on progress, spend, risks, mitigations and liabilities.

What we require?

  • Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
  • Proven extensive experience in project management within traction and rolling stock.
  • Background in train maintenance, refurbishment and/or overhaul beneficial.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in project management tools (e.g. MS Project, Primavera).
  • PMP, PRINCE2, or APM certification desirable.
