We’re on the lookout for a Principal Electronics Design Engineer to lead innovation and drive excellence within our clients growing engineering team. This is your opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies in analogue and digital electronics, embedded systems, SMPS, and LED lighting, while taking a key leadership role in the development of next-gen solutions.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Lead the design and development of analogue electronics, power systems, and SMPS solutions, including control systems for LED lighting.
- Mentor and guide a skilled team of engineers—promoting a culture of collaboration and innovation.
- Oversee integration of HMI, embedded systems, and power electronics into high-performance products.
- Troubleshoot complex systems with a focus on power conversion, EMC, and thermal management.
- Collaborate across departments to ensure technical requirements are met on all fronts.
- Review and approve circuit designs, PCB layouts, and technical documentation.
- Stay ahead of the curve by researching the latest trends and technologies in electronics.
- Drive continuous improvement across the engineering function.
What You’ll Need:
- Degree in Electronics Engineering (Master’s or PhD desirable).
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in electronic design.
- Proven expertise in analogue electronics, power systems, and SMPS.
- Experience designing and troubleshooting buck, boost, and other power conversion circuits.
- Leadership experience in mentoring or managing a technical team.
- Familiarity with tools like SPICE, Matlab, Altium, or similar.
- Strong grasp of EMC compliance, thermal design, and safety standards.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
