The Opportunity

We are currently recruiting for a Stores & Inventory Operative to join a fast-paced logistics and manufacturing operation based in Milton Keynes. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and proactive individual to become part of a well-structured team supporting production and operational activities.

You will play a key role in ensuring materials and components are received, stored, controlled, and issued accurately and efficiently to support day-to-day production requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, book in, and process goods within agreed timeframes using Sage 200
  • Pick and issue materials and components against production and work order requirements
  • Maintain accurate stock control using FIFO principles
  • Ensure correct storage, traceability, and batch/serial number control
  • Carry out cycle counts and stock checks to maintain inventory accuracy
  • Support internal logistics activities, including movement of goods between sites
  • Assist with goods inward and outward processes
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping and health & safety, including COSHH compliance
  • Work collaboratively with production, logistics, and purchasing teams to support operational efficiency

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience within a stores, warehouse, inventory, or logistics environment
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
  • Experience using ERP or stock management systems, ideally Sage 200
  • Good understanding of stock control processes including FIFO and batch/serial tracking
  • Reliable, proactive, and able to work effectively as part of a team
  • Good organisational and communication skills
  • Forklift licence advantageous but not essential
