TXM is recruiting for a leading automation and intralogistics company, seeking to hire skilled Maintenance Team Leads for their brand-new distribution facility in Birmingham. In this position you will manage a team of maintenance engineers, ensuring all maintenance activities both preventative and reactive are completed in line with on-site SLAs alongside supporting with maintenance activities when required.
The Ideal candidate will have experience within a high-speed manufacturing/distribution environment with automated machinery and have previously had experience overseeing teams of maintenance engineers.
Shift: Panama shift (2, 2, 3): 6am - 6pm / 6pm - 6am
Responsibilities:
- Together with your team, effectively and efficiently carrying out inspections, repairs and maintenance (corrective, preventive and predictive) on all equipment.
- Guiding and supporting the work of your team and acting as a point of contact.
- Taking the lead in coordinating the quality and progress of the work with the customer.
- Identifying, signalling and communicating (technical) problems and equipment malfunctions.
- Solving problems and making improvement proposals to prevent problems and/or improve the operation of the equipment (continuous improvement).
- Ensuring a pleasant and safe working environment.
- Managing CMMS and all maintenance allocation.
- Stakeholder management.
- Lead a small team whilst promoting and building customer relations.
- Tracking budgets.
- KPI tracking.
Required experience:
- Experience working within maintenance as an engineer or supervisor.
- Experience in supervising and supporting work within a team.
- Adequate speaking and writing skills in English.
- Pro-active, result- and solution-oriented, flexible, team-oriented and stress-resistant.
- Communicative and motivational go-between, and recognisable as such to customers and colleagues.
- Experience working within high-speed automated environment.
Skills and Qualifications Required:
- Completed an apprenticeship in an Electromechanical discipline to a minimum standard of NVQ level 3.
- Experience of Automated Systems.
- HNC/HND NVQ Level 5 Desirable.
- Understanding of a WMS or WCS system is beneficial.
- Pneumatic and Hydraulic knowledge is beneficial.
- Computer literate with Microsoft Office skills.
