Responsibilities

  • Leading projects from a cost management / quantity surveying perspective.
  • The candidate will be an integral part of a team that is accountable for the commercial and contractual performance of a project.
  • To carry out assigned duties efficiently and in accordance with processes and procedures.
  • Building and maintaining client relationships.
  • To support business objectives of delivering value for money in all circumstances.
  • Pre and Post contract Quantity Surveying duties.
  • Preparing and issuing tender documents.
  • Cost Planning including preparing cost budgets and appraisals, and elemental cost plans.
  • Identifying commercial opportunities.

Candidate Profile

  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or similar technical discipline.
  • Preferably Chartered via RICS or another relevant professional body or studying toward.
  • Strong technical delivery experience.
  • Strong M&E or Civils Cost Management experience.
  • Client facing, ensuring a high standard of technical delivery.
  • Previously employed by a consultancy, specialist M&E/Civils firm / contractor.
  • Stakeholder management with a clear focus on developing client accounts.
  • A track record of working with teams and managing projects by prioritising workloads and delivering deadlines.
  • Recognised as a client focused, positive collaborator who shares knowledge freely and offers support to their peers and seniors.
  • Recognised as a team player with a strong willingness to learn.
  • Demonstrates a positive and proactive approach to the role, and will be committed to delivering customer service excellence, with good commercial results.
