My client, a leading software company is looking to hire an experienced Lead DevOps Engineer to support their R&D department as well as the deployment and maintenance of their SaaS product.
Leading a small team, you will be responsible for Developer Experience systems, enhancing collaboration, automating workflows and accelerating delivery cycles whilst fostering a culture of cloud excellence. You will also design, build and maintain solutions, reviewing the current environment, and improve my client's build systems for automated building and publishing of their products.
This is an opportunity to take ownership of DevOps within development teams, champion best practices, and drive a culture of automation and efficiency across the software delivery life cycle. You will be helping them implement a strong CI/CD process for a fully automated release process.
The ideal candidate will possess a degree in software engineering or related disciplines, offer several years’ experience in a similar ‘lead’ DevOps role with an AWS Certification in one or more disciplines, especially related to DevOps or Cloud architecture. You must also possess strong experience in designing, building, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as CircleCI, Jenkins, Travis CI, GitHub Actions, or similar.
You will also have previous experience managing direct reports with a focus on mentoring and coaching team members for career development. This role requires an experienced Lead DevOps Engineer, with previous and proven work experience in a similar role alongside the AWS technical skills needed to design, build and maintain solutions to improve the developer experience.
