We are seeking an experienced CNC Turner Setter / Operator to join a growing manufacturing team based in Hinckley. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a precision engineering environment producing high-quality aerospace components to customer specifications.
Reporting directly to the Manufacturing Manager, you will play a key role in machining precision components while maintaining the highest quality and safety standards.
Shift PatternRotating fortnightly shifts:
- Days: 6:00am - 3:45pm
- Lates: 3:45pm - 1:30am
- Operate CNC Turning machines efficiently and safely
- Set tooling and make program edits where required
- Work from engineering drawings and customer specifications
- Inspect your own work using standard inspection equipment
- Carry out basic machine maintenance activities (TPM)
- Raise PIRs where necessary
- Maintain high housekeeping standards in line with 5S principles
- Safely handle components, jigs, and fixtures
- Work proactively both independently and as part of the manufacturing team
- Ideally apprentice trained
- Minimum 5 years CNC Turning experience
- Experience with Fanuc and/or Siemens control systems
- Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Self-motivated with the ability to work on own initiative
- Quality-focused with excellent attention to detail
