TXM Recruit are supporting a major engineering organisation with the recruitment of an Engineering Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex automation and process engineering projects across the UK. This role would suit a hands-on Mechanical, Electrical or Controls Engineer who has progressed into Project Management and has experience delivering automation, conveyor, robotics, process plant or manufacturing facility projects from concept through to commissioning and handover.
The Role
- Manage automation projects from design through to installation, commissioning and customer handover
- Develop Functional Design Specifications (FDS)
- Create project delivery plans and manage critical paths
- Lead multidisciplinary project teams and external suppliers
- Manage installation, commissioning and site activities
- Monitor project costs, delivery schedules and quality standards
- Ensure compliance with CDM, UKCA, PUWER and associated regulations
- Drive continuous improvement and value-for-money engineering solutions
We're Looking For
- Mechanical, Electrical or Controls/Automation Engineering background
- Proven experience delivering automation or process engineering projects
- Experience managing suppliers, contractors and installation teams
- Strong knowledge of project planning and delivery
- Familiar with CDM regulations, RAMS and site-based engineering activities
- Experience overseeing commissioning and compliance testing
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel throughout the UK
