Are you an experienced Fleet Engineer with exceptional UK fleet knowledge? TXM Recruit are seeking an experienced Fleet Support Engineer with in-depth knowledge of UK rolling stock to join our engineering team. The role will be based at our Norwich depot on a 6-month contract basis paying up to £600 per day (outside IR35) DOE. The successful candidate will provide expert support across all engineering projects related to the fleet.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and progress Engineering Change Requests (ECRs), including drafting and raising new requests.
- Lead and support engineering design changes and authoring of technical specifications.
- Review and improve maintenance procedures, ensuring compliance with safety and technical standards.
- Conduct safety and technical investigations as required.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders on a wide range of technical issues.
- Apply strong project management skills to drive ECRs and improvement initiatives to completion.
- Undertake internal audits to ensure engineering and safety standards are maintained.
What we require?
- Proven experience in similar fleet support or engineering roles.
- Technical qualifications in an engineering discipline.
- Excellent knowledge of UK rolling stock and associated engineering standards.
- Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to handle multiple initiatives and maintain high attention to detail.
- Willingness to undergo a DBS check and provide suitable references at offer stage.
