TXM Recruit are looking to fill a position off the tools in a service support environment ideal for a Fire Engineer. The type of role would suit an experienced Fire and Security engineer who has experience with sprinklers, pumps, testing and installing new fire equipment, who would be interested in coming off the tools into a support role. This role does require a get up and go same daily; unfortunately, this role would not be suitable for someone who needs remote working for childcare or other stay at home reasons due to site visits.
- Salary: £45,000/pa
- Hours: 40 per week, can change with some travel time
- Location: Completely remote or in a local store if you’d like - however national coverage expected
- Extras: 35p per mile or £7,200 allowance per year, iPad, iPhone and laptop, hotel costs if staying away + £30 lunch allowance. Own car needed with full insurance covering business travel too
Duties for the role (once trained, expected experience is hands on work):
- Providing remote technical support to engineers in stores
- Actively reviewing the National Fire Risk Assessment project and adjusting if required
- Reviewing estimates from work completed, cross checking costs and job details
- Working closely with the Technical Manager to improve processes, change timescales and improve training
- Travel from home to sites with short notice
- When on site – Help train engineers in work they’ve missed, take notes of work done and process to help improve in future
- Develop and implement new investigative ways of working
