TXM Recruit is working in partnership with one of the UK’s most recognisable retailers to recruit experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineers for their distribution centre in South Elmsall. This is a great opportunity to work in a highly automated environment, supporting modern, state-of-the-art equipment critical to site operations.

Shift Pattern: Rotating Days & Nights 06:00-18:00 and 18:00-06:00 (3 on 3 off)

The Role

You’ll be responsible for maintaining and improving site performance by carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance across a wide range of automated warehouse systems. Key duties include:

  • Fault finding and diagnostics on PLC-controlled equipment
  • Planned preventative maintenance on conveyors, pneumatics, hydraulics and robotic systems
  • Responding to breakdowns and completing repairs within agreed timeframes to reduce downtime
  • Carrying out servicing and repairs, taking ownership of issues through to resolution
  • Applying strong mechanical and electrical knowledge to day-to-day tasks
  • Working accurately from setup instructions, assembly guides and checklists
  • Communicating effectively with colleagues and stakeholders across the site

What We’re Looking For

  • Completed engineering apprenticeship with ONC or equivalent in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
  • Previous experience in a maintenance engineering role, ideally within warehousing, FMCG or a similar environment
  • Working knowledge of PLC systems and automation equipment
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office and CMMS systems
  • Experience managing engineering spares and inventory
  • Willing and able to work at heights of up to 20 metres (training provided)
