TXM Recruit are sourcing a Facilities Manager for East Midlands Railway. The role is a 6-month contract paying £200 - £250 per day. The role is located at EMRs Etches Park depot.
The role is responsible for ensuring fleet depots and outstation sites are fully compliant, safe, and fit for purpose through the timely procurement, maintenance, and renewal of infrastructure, plant, and equipment. This includes managing planned and reactive maintenance, delivering site projects, overseeing contractor performance, and ensuring all legal, statutory, and HSE requirements are met.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure that all land, buildings, plant and equipment and track are maintained and renewed to the specified frequency as laid down in Network Rails Group and Line Standards, ensuring compliance with legal and statutory requirements, Health & Safety regulations, Quality and Environmental standards, and all other Company policies and procedures.
- Effectively manage the maintenance and upkeep of the plant and machinery utilised at Etches Park Depot.
- Manage site Maintenance Contracts. Ensure contractors on site meet legal and company requirements.
- Manage and control allocated budgets and ensure cost reductions where possible.
- Assist the Depot Manager in preparation of manpower, staff costs, materials and overhead budget.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal performance.
- Leading a team of 6 employees.
- Educated to HND/C in appropriate engineering qualification desirable.
- Qualified to CDM regulations.
- Thorough knowledge of property, plant and equipment maintenance.
- A thorough knowledge of ISO9001, IOSH/NEBOSH, ISO14001.
- Experience of managing Profit and Loss (P&L) responsibilities for maintenance.
- Understanding of procurement/supply chain.
