A leading precision engineering and manufacturing business is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join their team in Coventry. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in supporting new and existing aerospace and high-precision manufacturing projects, ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance.
Quality Engineer Responsibilities:
- Support quality activities across new and existing projects, working closely with customers to understand and meet their requirements
- Produce and review FAIR (First Article Inspection Reports) in line with customer and industry standards
- Programme and operate CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machines) for inspection and validation activities
- Generate and maintain detailed inspection reports and quality documentation
- Create and manage ballooned drawings to support inspection processes
- Conduct and support FMEA (Failure Mode & Effects Analysis) and MSA (Measurement System Analysis) activities
- Liaise with internal teams and customers to resolve quality issues and drive continuous improvement
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, procedures, and customer specifications
Quality Engineer Requirements:
- Proven experience in a Quality Engineering role within a manufacturing or engineering environment
- Strong working knowledge of: FAIR documentation, CMM programming and operation, inspection reporting, FMEA and MSA methodologies, balloon drawing interpretation and creation
- Experience working directly with customers on new project requirements
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work collaboratively across engineering, production, and quality teams
