Project Manager – IND1
TXM Recruit are working with a specialist commercial building services provider delivering refurbishment, fit‑out, electrical, mechanical and facilities solutions for industrial, warehouse, retail and commercial environments with the onboarding of a new Pre‑Construction Manager.
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and deliver commercial and industrial construction projects from the start of the construction phase through to completion. This role works closely with both the pre‑construction and construction teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
Salary – Up to £55,000
Location – Bedford Office
8am to 5pm – 5 days in office or on site visits. Remote working may be implemented over the next year.
Responsibilities
- Site surveys and technical meetings to create a specification for the client.
- Preparation of contract programmes & cost schedules.
- Negotiating with and allocating work to subcontractors.
- Managing several projects in multiple locations.
- Ensuring delivery of project on‑time, on‑budget and to client’s satisfaction.
- Call off and ordering of materials from technical drawings.
- Ability to use your initiative and problem solve.
- Reporting regularly on progress to the senior managers and client.
- Demonstrating knowledge of all areas of construction.
Skills and Experience
- Proven experience as a construction estimator within the commercial construction sector.
- NVQ Level 6 desired.
- SMSTS desirable.
- Black CSCS card.
