My client are looking for an Electronics Hardware Engineer to join their growing engineering team, working on smart, IoT-enabled EV charging products. You will be designing embedded hardware across digital, analogue, and RF systems, taking projects from concept through to production in a fast-paced, design-led environment.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Design and develop embedded hardware for smart EV charging systems
- Schematic capture, PCB layout & routing (digital, analogue, and microcontroller circuits)
- Manage component libraries, maintain BoMs, and prepare production exports (Gerbers, pick & place, etc.)
- Lead EMC/environmental testing & certification
- Support production test processes and troubleshoot hardware issues
- Collaborate with firmware and product teams on feature delivery and testing
Requirements
- Degree-qualified or equivalent hands-on experience in electronics hardware
- Strong experience in embedded circuit design (digital, analogue, RF)
- Skilled in schematic capture, board layout, and bring-up
- Confident with BoM management and production-ready hardware documentation
- Hands-on with test equipment (oscilloscopes, power supplies, etc.)
- Knowledge of EMC principles and compliance testing
Additional Requirements
- Experience with Altium Designer
- Knowledge of STMicro, Espressif, or Atmega microcontrollers
- Familiarity with IoT or smart product development
- Experience in EV charging, RAPI/Open EVSE, or antenna design
