TXM Recruit are currently looking for a Domestic Gas Engineer to join our clients Housing Department, supporting council and social housing contracts across London.
You will carry out boiler repairs and breakdowns, CP12 landlord gas safety checks, fault-finding, and associated plumbing works in both occupied and void properties.
Salary: £45,000
Hours: Monday - Friday 40 hours
Summer (Apr–Sep): 08:00–17:00
Winter (Oct–Mar): 08:00–18:00
1 weekend in 7 rota
Overtime & Call-Out: Overtime and call-out duties operate on a rota basis. Participation is shared fairly across the team and agreed in advance.

Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, fault-find, and repair domestic boilers and heating systems with a strong first-time-fix approach.
- Complete CP12 landlord gas safety certificates and all compliance documentation accurately.
- You’ll work to agreed contract KPIs, including attendance, first-time fix, and compliance while delivering a safe, professional, and respectful service to residents, including vulnerable tenants.
- Fit and replace components such as pumps, fans, sensors, PCBs, PRVs, AAVs, TRVs, and more.
- Carry out powerflushes and system water quality checks.
- Install and replace 2-port and 3-port motorised valves, including wiring centre work.
- Undertake general plumbing tasks, including:
- Vented and unvented cylinders
- Radiators and pipework
- Condensate and filling loops
- Leak detection and repair
Requirements:
- Gas Safe registered with in-date ACS qualifications: CCN1 & CENWAT (HTR1 / CKR1 / MET1 as applicable).
- Proven experience in fault-finding and diagnostics on common domestic boilers and controls.
- G3 Unvented qualification (or willingness to obtain).
- Full UK driving licence.
