We’re looking for an experienced CNC Miller to join a leading precision engineering business in Coventry. You’ll be setting, operating, and editing programs on 4-axis and 6-axis CNC milling machines, producing high-accuracy components for the advanced manufacturing and motorsport sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Set, operate, and edit programs on 4-axis and 6-axis CNC mills
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Machine components ranging from 100mm to 2000mm DIA
- Conduct in-process inspections using micrometers, verniers, and gauges
- Maintain quality standards, accuracy, and productivity levels
- Perform basic maintenance and ensure a safe, clean workspace
- Follow all company and H&S procedures
Requirements
- Time-served or apprentice-trained CNC Miller
- Experience with Heidenhain, Fanuc, ISO, or Siemens controls
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work to tight tolerances
- Capable of self-inspection and working independently
- NVQ / City & Guilds in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering
- Experience working with exotic materials is advantageous
Desirable:
- Knowledge of CAD/CAM software (Fusion 360, Mastercam)
- Background in prototype or small-batch work
- Understanding of additional machining processes (turning, grinding, manual milling)
