TXM Recruit are seeking for a Fleet Engineer to play a critical role within a major rail client, providing effective Fleet Engineering and technical support to depot production and third-party maintainers.
The Fleet Engineer plays a key role in maintaining and enhancing vehicle maintenance programmes and technical documentation. This position provides daily engineering support across the fleet, leads technical investigations, and drives engineering improvements to enhance safety, reliability, performance, and whole-life cost efficiency.
Key Accountabilities- Ownership of Fleet Engineering activities and vehicle maintenance documentation to ensure that the clients fleet are maintained to the highest standards to meet safety, compliance, reliability, availability and customer outcomes.
- Ensure that adequate measurement exists for both train safety and fleet technical performance. Set up and monitor suitable KPIs for all key areas and to control and review all safety related events that occur to the fleet and ensure that appropriate action is taken to maintain safe operation.
- Control all modifications and engineering changes and NIRs, and ensure the safety and compliance of the business's obligations under the relevant regulations and standards applicable.
