Nuclear Safety Consultant (All Levels) | UK Wide | Competitive Package

Deliver safety across the UK's most critical nuclear programmes. TXM Recruit are supporting a leading consultancy delivering across nuclear, defence, and high-hazard environments. They are now looking to appoint Nuclear Safety Engineers (Senior to Principal level) across multiple UK locations to support delivery across a range of major programmes, including work at Sizewell B, Hinkley Point B, Hinkley Point C, and Sizewell C, as well as emerging SMR developments.

The Opportunity

This is an opportunity to join a growing and high-performing nuclear team, working on technically complex and high-profile projects. You'll play a key role in:

  • Delivering nuclear safety cases and engineering solutions across the full lifecycle
  • Supporting major plant modifications, commissioning, and operational activities
  • Providing technical expertise to solve complex engineering challenges
  • Contributing to project delivery while building strong client relationships

This is a role where you will gain real ownership of workstreams, with clear routes for progression.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Leading and supporting nuclear safety case production and verification
  • Facilitating hazard identification and risk assessment activities
  • Supporting plant modifications and design substantiation
  • Producing high-quality technical reports and deliverables
  • Managing projects, teams, and interfacing with clients

What They're Looking For

  • Experience in nuclear safety case development, plant operations, or commissioning
  • Background within a highly regulated environment (e.g. nuclear, defence, energy)
  • Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Experience working within EDF frameworks (e.g. AV2 / AV3) - Desirable
  • Progress toward or achievement of Chartership - Desirable
