Bolton £48,050 Permanent, Double days shift

TXM Recruit are partnering with a leading, Global Intralogistics business who specialise in the design, development and maintenance of highly automated systems as they search for a Maintenance Engineer to join the team. This role will provide the opportunity to work on equipment such as labellers, strappers, conveyor systems and sortation equipment in a fast paced environment. As a business they have a strong reputation for training & development of their staff and operate within strong and growing markets.

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday Weekly rotation: 6am - 2pm, 2pm - 10pm, 8am - 4pm, 4pm - 12am

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out preventative and reactive Maintenance tasks across the site, as well as contributing to continuous improvement tasks.
  • Performing Electrical and Mechanical maintenance on packaging equipment, conveyance systems and sortation equipment.
  • Mechanical maintenance tasks such as the strip-down and re-assembly of equipment, replacement of components and re-lacing of belts for example.
  • Electrically, you will be responsible for electrical testing using a multi-meter, interpreting electrical diagrams & symbols to support identification of faults and work up to 480v.
  • Reporting Job details, breakdown information and follow up tasks in a CMMS system.
  • Providing exceptional maintenance support to the on-site customer’s installed systems.
  • General care and housekeeping of machinery and work areas.

Skills and Qualifications Required:

  • Qualification at NVQ/BTEC/C&G Level 3 in Electro-Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience working as a Maintenance Engineer in a fast paced, high volume facility – automated warehousing, manufacturing, FMCG and packaging facilities would prove a good transfer.
  • Knowledge of PLC systems and their functionality.
  • Experience with pneumatics and hydraulics is an advantage.
  • Experience using CMMS systems and managing engineering inventory.
