TXM Recruit are supporting a well-established, innovation-led engineering business in their search for a Bid Manager to join their growing team. This is a newly created position within a business undergoing significant transformation and growth. It offers a unique opportunity to shape and define the role, driving improvements across the bid and project life cycle while playing a key part in delivering the company’s ambitious growth strategy.
Operating across multiple UK sites, you will take ownership of the bid process, working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, competitive proposals and ensure seamless transition into project delivery.
- Support the external sales team in developing and progressing opportunities
- Coordinate inputs across Operations, Engineering, Commercial, Quality, and Purchasing teams
- Lead bid handover into Project Management, ensuring clarity and continuity
- Identify and mitigate risks in collaboration with the commercial team
- Work closely with Finance to optimise margins and commercial performance
- Drive continuous improvement across bid and commercial processes
Proven experience in bid management and tender writing is essential, along with strong project and stakeholder management skills, strong organisational and document control skills, and advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). An APMP qualification or equivalent bid/proposal training is preferred.
Travel will be required for stakeholder meetings, and hybrid working will be available. This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking engineering organisation with a strong heritage and ambitious future.
