Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 + benefits
We're supporting a global engineering organisation in their search for an experienced Automation / Systems Engineer to join their Northampton operation on a permanent basis.
The Role:
- Design, develop, and commission automation systems for complex manufacturing and process projects.
- Programming and configuring PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems.
- Provide on-site and remote support for system integration, troubleshooting, and optimisation.
- Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and project engineering teams to deliver automation solutions on time and to specification.
- Ensure all systems comply with safety, quality, and industry standards.
Experience & Skills Required:
- Proven background as an Automation, Controls, or Systems Engineer.
- Strong hands-on experience with Siemens PLCs (essential).
- Experience with Rockwell / Allen-Bradley systems (preferred).
- Knowledge of automation networking and integration with wider manufacturing systems.
- Experience working within high-speed manufacturing, process, or packaging environments is highly beneficial.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines.
- MUST BE HAPPY TRAVELLING INTERNATIONALLY.
