About the Role
We are seeking experienced Assembly & Test Technicians to join a leading aerospace engineering team based in Tewkesbury. The role involves the assembly and testing of flight-critical actuators and subcomponents to exceptionally close tolerances, requiring precision, technical skill, and a strong understanding of engineering processes. This is an excellent opportunity for skilled technicians who take pride in quality workmanship and want to develop their careers within a high-performing engineering environment.
Working Hours:
- 37 hours per week – Afternoons
- Monday to Thursday: 14:00pm 22:00pm
- Friday: 11:00am 16:00pm
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble and test flight-critical actuators and subcomponents with a high degree of accuracy.
- Use precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, vernier calipers, and height gauges to inspect components.
- Work from engineering drawings and component maintenance manuals.
- Conduct quality audits and ensure all assembly and test procedures are followed.
- Take responsibility for the release to service of repaired actuators.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Apprentice trained or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
- Proven experience in an engineering or manufacturing role, ideally within aerospace or other high-precision industries.
- Good understanding of assembly and test manufacturing.
- Competent in reading and following engineering drawings and detailed procedures.
- Experience within an aerospace quality system is advantageous
