An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Facilities Supervisor to join a leading defence and aerospace organisation within the Rotary and Mission Systems division. This role will be based primarily in Havant, with occasional support required at sites in Westbury and Gloucester.
You will play a key role in overseeing facilities operations, coordinating maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations, and managing both internal teams and external contractors across critical site infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervising daily facilities and maintenance operations
- Managing and coordinating external contractors and service providers
- Reviewing RAMS and issuing permits to work
- Acting as first-line responsibility for site safety
- Monitoring maintenance activities and reporting issues accordingly
- Ensuring all statutory inspections are completed within required timescales
- Managing facilities workflows through CMMS platforms such as Maximo or IBM TRIRIGA
- Reviewing maintenance reports and certificates for accuracy and compliance
- Supporting asset registration and CMMS development activities
- Acting as Facilities representative during project handovers and plant acceptance
- Ensuring all facilities documentation and command media remain compliant with legislative and business requirements
- Supporting continuous improvement of maintenance plans and procedures
- Previous supervisory or management experience within a facilities or maintenance environment
- Minimum 3 years’ experience within facilities management or a related discipline
- Defence sector experience would be highly advantageous
- Experience managing both internal maintenance teams and external contractors
- Strong understanding of facilities legislation, compliance, and statutory requirements
- Experience using CMMS systems such as Maximo or IBM TRIRIGA
- Competent user of Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to review and understand RAMS and issue permits to work
- Basic understanding of project management methodologies
- NEBOSH Level 2 Health & Safety qualification (minimum requirement)
This position is offered on a 12-month contract basis and falls inside IR35. BPSS clearance is required prior to starting.
