About the Role
A leading global provider of high-speed machinery solutions is seeking a Conveying Design Team Leader to drive the design, development, and delivery of innovative conveying systems. This role offers the opportunity to manage a team, oversee project timelines, and collaborate with internal departments and external clients to deliver efficient, cost-effective solutions. Some international travel may be required (2–3 times per year).
Key Responsibilities
- Design and visualise product lines using 3D and 2D CAD.
- Lead and manage the Conveying Design Team, ensuring high-quality outputs.
- Plan workloads and deadlines in coordination with senior management.
- Work with sales and systems teams to define project requirements.
- Oversee engineering change notes and corrective actions for continuous improvement.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, to standard, and within budget.
- Identify and implement new processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
Experience
Essential
- Extensive engineering experience (HNC or equivalent qualification).
- Strong proficiency in SolidWorks & SolidWorks PDM.
- Experience in 3D modelling, technical drawings (ISO standards), and manufacturing processes.
- Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
Desirable:
- Knowledge of Inventor, AutoCAD, and MRP systems (training available).
- Prior experience in a team leader role.
- Willingness to learn new software and CAD systems.
