We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Services Manager or Facilities Manager to join a busy rail company at their train maintenance depot in the East Midlands. This is an excellent opportunity to join a great team and contribute to the effective operations of the site.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure that the depot infrastructure, plant and equipment needs are identified and procured on time and to the required quality and that the legal requirements are fulfilled e.g. fire protection, HSE specifications, etc.
- Ensure that all the depot infrastructure, plant and equipment is maintained, that projects are implemented, and that legal and statutory requirements are met.
- Manage site contracts, lead, support and motivate contractors engaged to carry out enhancements, maintenance and repairs to depot facilities including land, buildings, services and track.
- Work collaboratively, negotiate and engage with key stakeholders to facilitate delivery and compliance with the maintenance strategy, and legal requirements.
- Ensure that all the facilities are in top condition and that production is not hampered in any way.
- Manage and schedule planned and unplanned maintenance.
- Oversee and manage training of all Site Services Staff.
Required Skills and Experience
- Educated to HND/C in appropriate engineering qualification desirable.
- Qualified to CDM regulations.
- Thorough knowledge of property, plant and equipment maintenance.
- Excellent interpersonal skills both written and verbal.
- Contract and contractor management skills.
- A thorough knowledge of ISO9001, IOSH/NEBOSH, ISO14001.
- Excellent leadership and man management skills and the ability to manage a variety of cross-functional team members.
- Technical capability and understanding and commercial awareness.
- Excellent organisational and follow-up skills and competent in problem solving, team building, planning and decision making.
- Experience of managing Profit and Loss (P&L) responsibilities for maintenance.
- Understanding of procurement/supply chain.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office.
