We are currently recruiting for an experienced Plant Fitter to join a well‑established and growing plant hire company based in Stoke-on-Trent. This is a permanent, full‑time role offering stability, excellent working conditions, and the opportunity to work with a modern fleet of machinery.
The Role
As a Plant Fitter, you will be responsible for the maintenance, servicing, and repair of a wide range of plant equipment, ensuring all machinery is operating safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out routine servicing and maintenance on plant machinery
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults
- Prepare equipment for hire and ensure it meets safety standards
- Complete job sheets and maintain accurate service records
- Work both independently and as part of a team
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Plant Fitter, Plant Engineer, or similar role
- Strong knowledge of plant machinery (e.g. excavators, dumpers, telehandlers)
- Good fault‑finding and diagnostic skills
- Relevant qualifications (NVQ/City & Guilds or equivalent) preferred
- Full UK driving licence (desirable)
