TXM Plant are looking for a number of Crane Controllers/Plant Operations Supervisors to join our team at one of the UK’s leading suppliers of Road Rail Vehicles throughout the UK.
With over 500 people involved in our business TXM Plant deliver RRV Hire, POS Services, and Principal Contracting services throughout the UK.

Main Duties
- Ensure all individuals are fully trained and assessed as competent for delivery of the OTP plan and arrangements.
- Planning and Documenting OTP operations in the OTP Plan
- Ensure appropriate and competent resources in relation to OTP operations including lift planning and adjacent line open (ALO) working.
- Ensure that all company H&S and compliance procedures and policies are fully implemented and updated in line with POS scheme rules.
- Act as a single point of contact for communication/coordination with the PCL’s representative of plant operations during site works ensuring compliance to all applicable standards and management systems.
- Manage emergency planning/contingency planning arrangements in line with Principal Contractor’s arrangements.
- Act as an ALO coordinator.
- Undertake site walks and complete OTP pre-start checks and record in POSM site diary.
- Check competence of Machine Operators and Crane Controllers and brief before work commences to define responsibilities.
- Ensure process compliance in rail plant pre-use checks, setting up checks, fault reporting and the safe loading/securing of loads.
- Liaise with the customer, ensuring full updates are provided including OTP failure/repair and accidents/incidents.
- Ensure that Annual Capability Conversations (ACCs) are undertaken every 12 months to manage the competence of Operators, Machine Controllers, Crane Controllers, Lift Planners and other roles where the is a Sentinel requirement.
- Ensure that OTP is safely shut down and all personnel have left site at the end of a shift.
- Ensure that POSM site diary is completed and all documentation submitted in accordance with procedure.
- Ensure all Health & Safety standards and regulations and PPE requirements are adhered to at all times.
Role Requirements
- Knowledge of MS Packages, Outlook, Word, Excel, Database and systems related packages.
- Must hold a valid PTS card endorsed with AC and/or DC lines (DCCR).
- Hold a valid Sentinel Smart card.
- Attend a TXM Plant Lift Planner/Sentinel.
- POS Supervisor Competence.
