GSL Education are currently seeking Exam Invigilators to support local schools in the Christchurch area as key exam periods approach. Whether you're looking for full-time work or something more flexible, exam invigilation could be the perfect role for you! About the Role: This position is ideal for applicants who are highly organised, vigilant, reliable, and possess excellent attention to detail. The ability to remain calm under pressure is crucial. The role is a casual contract, with working hours to be negotiated for each exam period. The main exam periods are in January, February, May, and June. The work will involve whole or part-day sessions, some starting as early as 8:00 AM and some finishing by 3:30 PM. This role offers flexibility, which is ideal for those with childcare commitments. Exam invigilation is also a great stepping stone if you're considering a longer-term career in education, such as becoming a Teaching Assistant but lack prior school experience. Key Responsibilities: Supervise pupils during public and internal exams. Support students, including providing reading and writing assistance when necessary.
