William Perkin Church of England High School was opened in 2013 and is part of the Twyford Church of England Academies Trust. Its GCSE results place it within the top 5% of schools nationally. The school is founded on the successful systems and approaches of Twyford Trust, with the principle difference that it is a distinctively Christian school with open admission criteria. Teaching Assistant to support students in Years 7 – 11 with statements of Special Education Need and to take the lead responsibility for students with learning and behavioural difficulties.

- Opportunity to work closely with the subject you aspire to train to teach in, allowing you to develop the necessary subject knowledge and familiarity with subject’s pedagogical approaches.
- Roles are up to 35 hours per week; part-time applications can be considered, particularly for three or four days per week. Exact hours per week will be discussed and agreed at interview; the salary will therefore be a pro rata figure according to the hours worked.

All staff are expected to undergo the child protection screening appropriate to the post, including an enhanced DBS disclosure and references from previous employers. The post-holder will also be expected to read and adhere to the Trust’s Child Protection Policy, and any other safeguarding documents published within this.
