We are looking for a motivated and flexible Teacher of German, with the ability to support or cover additional subjects. The role is suitable for Early Career Teachers and offers opportunities for professional development within an outstanding Ofsted-rated school.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach German across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5 (as applicable).
  • Cover general subjects in the school as required.
  • Use the school’s VLE, Copia, to access and share curriculum materials.
  • Assess, record and report student learning effectively.
  • Collaborate with the department, Head of Department and Key Stage Coordinators.
  • Assist in the training of new staff and contribute to the supportive departmental culture.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • A good degree and Qualified Teacher Status.
  • Ability to teach MFL-German to KS4/KS5.
  • Knowledge of the National Curriculum and recent curriculum/learning developments.
  • Awareness of strategies to motivate and engage all students across ability ranges.
  • Strong skills in assessment, record‑keeping and reporting of student progress.
  • Reflective practice and a commitment to continual self‑improvement.
  • Commitment to the ethos of the school.
  • Part‑time contractual status with the possibility of full‑time if able to teach other subjects at KS3.

Salary

Main Professional Grade (MPS/UPS) – pro‑rata based on hours worked.
