Twyford Church of England High School, Acton W3 9PP is seeking to appoint a Gospel and Contemporary Singing Tutor, also to lead Junior Gospel Choir (Maternity Cover 4-6 months) – to start May 2026. Salary: Peripatetic Musician hourly rate £32.77. Closing date: Midnight Sunday 12th April 2026. Interview date: TBC.
Twyford CE High School is seeking an inspirational Gospel and contemporary singing tutor, who will also lead the Junior Gospel Choir. Junior Gospel is the training choir for the highly successful ‘Sacred’ (Twyford Gospel Choir), run by The Kingdom Choir Foundation, led by Karen Gibson MBE.
This role includes:
- 1:1 half hour lessons, teaching individual singing pupils in Gospel/Contemporary style (currently c. 6-8 hours per week)
- Leading weekly rehearsals of the Junior Gospel Choir (currently on Friday lunchtimes)
This role would suit a teacher who is inspired to pass on their experience of Gospel singing and who has some existing experience of leading and inspiring youth groups in a worship or community setting.
The Successful Candidate Will Have:
- Experience in teaching gospel and/or leading Gospel choirs and working with young people.
