The post-holder will be joining an innovative and ambitious Drama department that seeks to deliver an outstanding, three-tiered curriculum to students of all National Curriculum levels. The role requires an exceptional classroom practitioner who will manage the Department and a Trust Team of HoDs, leading the department to achieve outstanding results for all students, regardless of ability.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Drama department and manage a Trust Team of HoDs to achieve outstanding educational outcomes.
- Coordinate and lead a school production in partnership with the Music postholders.
- Maintain and nurture an engaging, aspirational learning culture within the department.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the school to support curriculum delivery and student progress.
Qualifications
- Good degree and QTS.
- Proven record of outstanding results.
- Experience of curriculum development and subject leadership.
- Experience of quality assurance and of leading and managing a team.
- Outstanding skills as a classroom teacher and as a tutor.
- Excellent record of developmental work in current role.
- Some experience of managing or implementing curriculum systems and initiatives.
- Ability to be reflective and driven towards self-improvement.
- Commitment to the ethos of the school.
