The post-holder will be joining an innovative and ambitious Drama department that seeks to deliver an outstanding, three-tiered curriculum to students of all National Curriculum levels. The role requires an exceptional classroom practitioner who will manage the Department and a Trust Team of HoDs, leading the department to achieve outstanding results for all students, regardless of ability.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Drama department and manage a Trust Team of HoDs to achieve outstanding educational outcomes.
  • Coordinate and lead a school production in partnership with the Music postholders.
  • Maintain and nurture an engaging, aspirational learning culture within the department.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the school to support curriculum delivery and student progress.

Qualifications

  • Good degree and QTS.
  • Proven record of outstanding results.
  • Experience of curriculum development and subject leadership.
  • Experience of quality assurance and of leading and managing a team.
  • Outstanding skills as a classroom teacher and as a tutor.
  • Excellent record of developmental work in current role.
  • Some experience of managing or implementing curriculum systems and initiatives.
  • Ability to be reflective and driven towards self-improvement.
  • Commitment to the ethos of the school.
