A leading construction contractor is seeking an experienced roving HSE Manager to oversee health, safety and environmental delivery across a range of projects in London. This is a key role, working closely with project teams, clients and supply chain partners to ensure the highest standards of HSE performance are embedded.
The role will suit a proactive, visible HSE professional with strong technical knowledge, excellent stakeholder engagement skills and a track record of delivering safe, compliant projects within fast-paced construction environments.
Key responsibilities:- Act as the principal HSE point of contact for site teams, clients and subcontractors
- Develop, implement and review construction phase plans, risk assessments and method statements
- Carry out regular site inspections, audits and assurance activities, driving continuous improvement
- Investigate incidents, near misses and unsafe conditions, ensuring robust corrective actions are implemented
- Deliver toolbox talks, briefings and training to promote a positive, engaged safety culture
- Support project leadership teams with HSE planning, reporting and performance metrics
- Ensure effective contractor management, inductions and ongoing compliance monitoring
- Proven experience in a Project HSE Manager or Senior HSE Advisory role within construction environments
- NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent Level 6 health and safety qualification), ideally CMIOSH
- Experience operating on complex, fast-paced construction projects
- Confident communicator, able to influence at all levels from site operatives to senior stakeholders
