We are seeking a dedicated and experienced HSE Advisor to join our team on a high-profile data center project in Bedfordshire. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in ensuring health, safety, and environmental compliance on a cutting-edge project. The successful candidate will work closely with the HSE Manager to maintain and enhance safety standards, ensuring the well-being of all personnel and the successful delivery of the project.
The Key Responsibilities of the HSE Advisor:
- Supporting the HSE Manager in implementing and maintaining health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
- Conducting regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and company standards.
- Identifying potential hazards and risks, and providing practical solutions to mitigate them.
- Delivering HSE training and toolbox talks to site personnel to promote a culture of safety awareness.
- Investigating incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and preparing detailed reports with recommendations for corrective actions.
- Collaborating with project teams to ensure HSE considerations are integrated into all phases of the project.
- Keeping up-to-date with changes in HSE legislation and best practices, and advising the team accordingly.
- Preparing and maintaining accurate HSE documentation and records.
The HSE Advisor will have:
- A recognized qualification in Health and Safety, such as NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent (NEBOSH Diploma preferred).
- Proven experience in an HSE role, ideally within the construction or data center sectors.
- Strong knowledge of UK health, safety, and environmental legislation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- A proactive and solution-oriented approach to problem-solving.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- A valid UK driving license.
