About the Role:
We are seeking an HSE Advisor to support the delivery of Health, Safety and Environmental standards across major infrastructure and construction projects in the South. This role will be key in monitoring site performance, ensuring compliance with management systems, and promoting a strong safety culture across project teams and supply chain partners.
The Key Responsibilities of the HSE Advisor:
- Support all aspects of Health, Safety and Environment across project delivery.
- Carry out site inspections, audits, and surveillance activities for construction and non-construction activities.
- Promote and support corporate and local HSE campaigns and initiatives.
- Monitor and advise on close-out of audit findings, inspections, investigations, and actions.
- Identify common trends or issues and provide reports to support local improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with the Business Management System (BMS) across all site activities and facilities.
- Actively support behavioural safety and wellbeing initiatives.
The HSE Advisor will have:
- NEBOSH Certificate (or equivalent) in Occupational Safety and Health (minimum requirement).
- Background in civils, utilities or construction.
- Ideally have knowledge and practical application of HSE large infrastructure projects.
- Experience influencing HSE culture and performance at site level.
- Ability to manage multiple and conflicting priorities.
- Excellent communication and engagement skills with site teams and subcontractors.
