About the Role:

We’re supporting a leading engineering and utilities contractor in the search for a SHEQ Advisor to oversee projects across the South of England. This is a great opportunity to join a forward-thinking business, taking on a hands-on role with real influence over safety performance and engagement on site. The position offers exposure to a range of major infrastructure and utilities projects, ideal for someone who enjoys variety, autonomy, and making a tangible impact across multiple sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide SHEQ leadership across projects, promoting a positive safety-first culture
  • Offer practical advice and support on all health, safety, environmental and quality matters
  • Carry out regular site inspections, audits, and incident investigations, reporting findings clearly
  • Support the creation and review of project documentation including RAMS, CPPs, and CDM files
  • Review subcontractor documentation and ensure compliance with company standards
  • Assist with maintaining ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 accreditations
  • Attend project and client meetings, providing clear updates on SHEQ performance and improvement plans

What We’re Looking For:

  • NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate (minimum)
  • Strong understanding of HSE legislation and best practice
  • Experience supporting operational teams within utilities or construction sectors
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Willingness to travel between regional sites
