We’re supporting a well-established construction and infrastructure contractor in the appointment of a SHEQ Advisor to support and drive high standards of safety, health, environmental and quality performance across multiple sites and offices in the North West.
This is a hands-on, site-focused role offering the opportunity to influence culture, improve systems and work closely with operational teams to deliver safe, compliant and right-first-time outcomes. You’ll play a key role in the delivery and continual improvement of the organisation’s SHEQ strategy and management systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake regular site inspections and audits across all business streams
- Review working practices and provide constructive, practical feedback to operational teams
- Coach and mentor site teams to embed positive SHEQ behaviours
- Produce clear inspection, audit and incident reports with trend analysis and recommendations
- Monitor SHEQ KPIs, supporting dashboards and performance reporting
- Support rollout of SHEQ standards, procedures and improvement initiatives
- Work with subcontractors and supply chain partners to maintain SHEQ standards
- Maintain management systems and accreditations (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001)
What we’re looking for:
- 1-3 years experience in a SHEQ Advisor role ideally within civils, infrastructure or utilities
- Confident communicator, able to influence at all levels
- Strong understanding of SHEQ legislation and industry standards
- Experienced in inspections, audits, incident investigation and action close-out
- Full UK driving licence and medically fit for site work
