Overview: A large manufacturing business with a varied client is creating a brand new position! An exciting opportunity for an Environmental professional with a keen interest in Health and Safety. This role will focus primarily on environmental responsibilities while supporting continuous improvement in health and safety across the business. If you are looking for a role where you can make an impact, drive sustainability initiatives, and maintain ISO14001 accreditation, this is for you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain the environmental management system in line with ISO14001 standards.
- Conduct internal training on EHS topics and communicate effectively on environmental issues.
- Support internal HSE auditing, conduct audits, and maintain ISO14001 compliance.
- Respond to customer/regulator requests, providing sustainability and environmental data.
- Develop carbon footprinting methods and monitor Scope 1-3 emissions.
- Maintain the environmental legal register and ensure compliance with legislation.
- Support the implementation of ISO45001 and drive continuous improvement in health and safety.
- Assist in risk assessments, accident investigations, and policy implementation.
- Host customer and third-party audits and recommend new accreditations when necessary.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Environmental focused qualification
- Minimum of 1-year experience in an environmental compliance role.
- A Safety based qualification or understanding
- Experience with ISO14001 principles
- Strong administrative skills and ability to drive sustainability initiatives.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across departments.
