We’re supporting a major construction programme in Somerset with the appointment of an experienced Senior HSE Advisor to join the project team on a permanent basis. This is a key site based role supporting high profile construction and fit out activities across a fast paced environment. The successful candidate will play a visible role in driving standards, supporting operational teams and ensuring a proactive safety culture across the programme. Experience within fit out, complex internal works or working at height environments is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day to day HSE support across construction and fit out activities
  • Conduct site inspections, audits and behavioural observations
  • Support RAMS reviews and permit systems
  • Work closely with site management and subcontractors to drive compliance and engagement
  • Lead investigations into incidents, near misses and unsafe acts
  • Deliver toolbox talks and safety briefings
  • Monitor working at height activities and ensure best practice standards are maintained
  • Support client reporting and project compliance requirements
  • Promote a positive and solutions focused safety culture on site

Requirements

  • Proven experience within construction project environments
  • Strong knowledge of fit out or working at height operations
  • Confident engaging with subcontractors and operational teams
  • Experience on large scale construction programmes preferred
  • Strong communication and reporting skills
  • Full UK driving licence
