An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project HSE Lead to join a leading construction business delivering a large-scale data centre project in London.
This role will suit an ambitious and driven HSE professional who enjoys operating in a highly visible leadership position within technically challenging construction environments. Working alongside senior operational teams, you will play a key role in shaping project culture, influencing behaviours and ensuring exceptional HSE standards are maintained throughout delivery.
The Project HSE Lead key responsibilities:
- Take ownership of HSE performance across a major data center project
- Lead, mentor and support a team of site-based HSE Advisors
- Build strong relationships with project delivery teams, subcontractors and client representatives
- Drive engagement and behavioural safety initiatives across site
- Support operational teams with safe planning and delivery of works
- Conduct site inspections, assurance activities and incident investigations
- Review construction phase documentation including RAMS and permit systems
- Identify trends, risks and opportunities for continuous improvement
- Provide clear leadership and direction on all HSE matters across the project
The Project HSE Lead will have:
- Previous experience in a senior HSE position on large-scale construction projects
- Strong background within data centres, M&E, fit-out or technically complex construction environments
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, client-facing project environment
- Proven experience leading or mentoring HSE Advisors
- NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification essential
- Ideally CMIOSH or progressing toward chartered status
- Strong communication, leadership and influencing skills
