About the role

We're looking for a Head of People & Talent to lead our People function and help us scale the next chapter of Two. This is a standalone role reporting into the CFO and partnering closely with the CEO and leadership team. You'll own every aspect of the employee lifecycle - from attracting exceptional talent and developing our managers to shaping our culture, performance and organisational design.

We're looking for someone who enjoys both strategy and execution. One day you may be coaching a senior leader through a complex people decision; the next you'll be improving onboarding, running a compensation review or introducing AI to simplify HR processes. You'll have the autonomy to shape how People operates at Two while building scalable foundations that enable our continued growth.

What you'll be responsible for

  • Strategic People Partnering
    • Partner with the leadership team on organisational design, workforce planning and business growth.
    • Coach managers on performance, leadership, employee relations and complex people matters.
    • Drive employee engagement, culture and leadership capability.
    • Use people data and insights to support better business decisions.
  • Talent Acquisition
    • Lead hiring across all functions, from workforce planning through to onboarding.
    • Partner with hiring managers to improve hiring quality, interview processes and candidate experience.
    • Develop employer branding initiatives to attract exceptional talent.
  • Performance & Reward
    • Lead performance, calibration and salary review cycles.
    • Maintain career frameworks and support employee development.
    • Ensure compensation decisions are fair, data-driven and commercially sustainable.
    • Support succession planning and organisational capability.
    • Manage employee equity and option schemes, including grant administration.
  • People Operations
    • Own the employee lifecycle across multiple countries.
    • Maintain HR policies, compliance and employment documentation.
    • Coordinate payroll, benefits and HR administration.
    • Manage UK sponsorship licence requirements and immigration processes.
    • Oversee HR systems and continuously improve operational efficiency.
    • Manage external People vendors, including HRIS, ATS and EOR providers.
  • AI & Continuous Improvement
    • Leverage AI to automate People processes and improve employee experience.
    • Improve reporting, workflows and documentation.
    • Lead People systems and process improvements to support business growth.
    • Continuously evolve the People function as the business grows.

What success looks like

Within your first 6 to 12 months you will:

  • Become a trusted advisor to our leadership team.
  • Further improve the quality and consistency.
  • Deliver smooth, data-driven performance and compensation cycles.
  • Build managers' confidence in leading high-performing teams.
  • Maintain scalable and compliant People operations across multiple countries.
  • Introduce practical AI solutions that improve efficiency and employee experience.
  • Continue evolving our People function as Two grows.

We are looking for someone who

  • Has experience leading an HR function, or is ready to step into a standalone People leadership role.
  • Has partnered directly with managers and leaders on hiring, performance, employee relations and organisational development.
  • Has experience across the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, performance management, compensation and People Operations.
  • Understands Nordic or UK employment law and is willing to quickly build knowledge of other jurisdictions as required.
  • Is comfortable working independently in a standalone role and taking ownership of the People function.
  • Uses data and insights to inform decisions and improve organisational performance.
  • Enjoys improving processes, introducing new ways of working and building scalable People practices.
  • Has experience using AI tools to improve productivity and operational efficiency.
  • Has experience working with HRIS and ATS platforms.
  • Has supported internationally distributed teams and is comfortable working across multiple countries.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative and high-growth environment.
  • Is proactive, pragmatic and solutions-oriented, with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Why join Two?

  • Own the People function in one of Europe's fastest-growing fintechs.
  • Work directly with founders and senior leaders.
  • Build scalable People practices that influence company growth.
  • Experiment with AI and modern People technology.
  • Join an ambitious, collaborative and international team.
  • Enjoy genuine ownership and autonomy from day one.

Benefits

  • £500 annual allowance to spend on anything that will contribute to your mental or physical health.
  • £500 annual allowance for learning and training.
  • £500 support for a mobile phone every 24 months (from your 6th month anniversary).
  • Employee equity scheme - have a real stake in the company’s success.
  • Work on a cutting-edge B2B payment system, shaping the future of business to business payments.
  • Work from abroad for up to 30 days per year.
