As a Technical Designer, you will be responsible for producing and coordinating detailed design information for commercial office fit-out projects. You will work closely with interior designers, project managers, and contractors to ensure designs are technically sound, compliant, and fully buildable.
This role requires a technically proficient candidate who can operate confidently across multiple projects, balancing design excellence with practicality, compliance and programme demands. We are open to candidates from a traditional architectural background looking to transition into the dynamic world of D&B fit-out, as well as those already working in a similar environment who are seeking greater responsibility and exposure to take ownership of projects from start to finish.
- Oversee the production of detailed Revit models and comprehensive technical drawing packages
- Coordinate with MEP consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure integrated design solutions
- Ensure compliance with UK Building Regulations and project-specific requirements
- Attend site surveys, design meetings, and coordination workshops
- Review subcontractor drawings and ensure alignment with design intent
- Proficient in Revit, with experience working in a BIM environment
- Strong understanding of office fit-out construction and detailing
- Knowledge of UK Building Regulations, including fire safety and accessibility
- Understanding of CDM Regulations and design risk management
- Architectural, Interior Design, or Interior Architecture degree/post-graduate level or equivalent industry experience
- Experience in commercial office fit-out within a Design and Build environment is preferred.
