MISSION
We are looking for an energetic and commercially driven Grocery & Convenience Sales Executive to grow our presence across independent retailers and London grocery stores. You will be responsible for winning new listings, driving rate of sale, and managing day-to-day relationships to maximise distribution, visibility, and volume. This is a hands-on, field-based role ideal for someone who thrives in selling, relationship-building, and brand advocacy within FMCG or drinks.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Sales & Distribution
- Win new listings across independent grocers, convenience stores, symbol groups, and regional grocery chains
- Grow distribution of packaged beer and ensure core range compliance
- Deliver volume, revenue, and distribution targets within the channel
- Execute seasonal and NPD launches in line with commercial strategy
- Account Management
- Build strong relationships with store owners, managers, and buyers
- Negotiate pricing, promotions, and in-store support within agreed parameters
- Manage existing accounts to drive repeat orders and long-term partnerships
- Identify growth opportunities within current customers
- In-Store Execution
- Ensure excellent on-shelf availability, merchandising, and brand visibility
- Implement POS, displays, and promotional activity
- Monitor competitor activity and provide market feedback
- Reporting & Administration
- Accurately record visits, sales activity, and opportunities using CRM tools
- Provide regular sales reports, forecasts, and pipeline updates
- Work closely with logistics and operations to ensure smooth order fulfilment
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Essential
- Some sales experience – ideally within FMCG or hospitality
- Some understanding of the grocery and convenience retail environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a field-based role
- Full UK driving licence
- Desirable
- Experience selling beer, cider, or alcohol
- Existing relationships with independent retailers or symbol groups
- Passion for craft beer and the independent food & drink scene
