We’re looking for a Paid Search Specialist who enjoys getting into the details of Google Ads, understanding what drives performance and finding opportunities to improve it.
Ideally, you’ll have around two years of hands‑on experience managing Google Ads, either at an agency or within an in-house marketing team. You’ve been responsible for campaigns, made optimisation decisions and learnt from the results. Now you’re ready to bring that experience to a team where you can contribute and continue developing your skills.
About the Role
You’ll manage Google Ads campaigns across assigned client accounts, taking responsibility for campaign setup, day-to-day optimisation, budget management and performance analysis.
You’ll work alongside our paid media, client success and creative teams to connect campaign decisions with each client’s business goals. We’re looking for someone who can explain what’s happening in an account, identify what needs attention and follow through on the next steps.
What You’ll Do
- Build and manage Google Search campaigns, including campaign structure, keyword research, targeting, ad copy and ad assets.
- Optimise accounts regularly through search term reviews, negative keyword management, ad testing and bid strategy evaluation.
- Manage budgets and monitor spend, keeping campaigns on track against agreed budgets and performance goals.
- Analyse performance and identify opportunities, using conversion rates, cost per lead or acquisition, lead quality and return on ad spend where relevant.
- Monitor conversion data and flag tracking issues, working with the team to ensure campaign decisions are based on reliable information.
- Recommend and test improvements to ads, targeting and landing pages.
- Contribute to clear client reporting, explaining results, the changes you’ve made and your recommended next steps.
- Work closely with colleagues to understand client priorities and incorporate feedback on lead quality and sales outcomes.
- Keep accounts organised, document meaningful changes, check your work and meet deadlines.
- Keep up to date with Google Ads developments and thoughtfully evaluate new features and recommendations.
What We’re Looking For
- Around two years of practical Google Ads management experience, gained in an agency or in-house role. We’re open to candidates with equivalent hands‑on experience.
- Direct responsibility for building, monitoring and improving campaigns.
- A solid understanding of Google Search campaign structure, keyword match types, negative keywords, bidding strategies and budget management.
- An understanding of conversion tracking and how campaign metrics relate to business results.
- Confidence working with data and spreadsheets to identify trends and make recommendations.
- Clear written and verbal communication, including the ability to explain your decisions in plain English.
- Good organisation, attention to detail and ownership of your work.
- Curiosity, a willingness to ask questions and an interest in developing your skills.
Helpful Additional Experience
Experience in any of the following would be a plus:
- Microsoft Advertising.
- Google Shopping or Performance Max campaigns.
- Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager or Looker Studio.
- Call tracking, CRM data or offline conversion tracking.
- ChatGPT Ads.
- Landing page testing and conversion rate optimisation.
- Lead generation campaigns for service businesses.
