An established and highly respected manufacturing and export business in Poole is looking to recruit an experienced Compliance Manager to join their senior team. This is a varied, hands-on role combining Health & Safety, operational compliance, customer liaison and continuous improvement within a busy industrial environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the business remains compliant, organised, safe and operationally efficient, whilst also supporting customers with quotations and project requirements. This position would suit somebody from a manufacturing, engineering, logistics, warehousing or FMCG background who enjoys taking ownership and working closely with both operations and customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing Health & Safety procedures, risk assessments and compliance activities
- Supporting and maintaining ISO 9001 quality procedures and operational standards
- Coordinating servicing and maintenance schedules for equipment, vehicles and forklifts
- Investigating incidents, non-conformities and implementing corrective actions
- Organising general site maintenance and facilities coordination
- Liaising with customers to understand requirements and prepare quotations
- Supporting operational and production activities where required
- Assisting with dangerous goods and shipping compliance documentation
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives across the branch
Candidate Requirements:
- Previous management or supervisory experience within manufacturing, engineering, logistics, warehousing or FMCG
- Strong Health & Safety knowledge
- Experience working within ISO 9001 or quality-driven environments
- NEBOSH qualification advantageous
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Comfortable dealing directly with customers and producing quotations
- Hands-on, proactive and operationally minded approach
- Full UK Driving Licence essential
- Experience within export packing, shipping regulations or dangerous goods compliance would be highly beneficial.
