An established and highly respected manufacturing and export business in Poole is looking to recruit an experienced Compliance Manager to join their senior team. This is a varied, hands-on role combining Health & Safety, operational compliance, customer liaison and continuous improvement within a busy industrial environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the business remains compliant, organised, safe and operationally efficient, whilst also supporting customers with quotations and project requirements. This position would suit somebody from a manufacturing, engineering, logistics, warehousing or FMCG background who enjoys taking ownership and working closely with both operations and customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing Health & Safety procedures, risk assessments and compliance activities
  • Supporting and maintaining ISO 9001 quality procedures and operational standards
  • Coordinating servicing and maintenance schedules for equipment, vehicles and forklifts
  • Investigating incidents, non-conformities and implementing corrective actions
  • Organising general site maintenance and facilities coordination
  • Liaising with customers to understand requirements and prepare quotations
  • Supporting operational and production activities where required
  • Assisting with dangerous goods and shipping compliance documentation
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives across the branch

Candidate Requirements:

  • Previous management or supervisory experience within manufacturing, engineering, logistics, warehousing or FMCG
  • Strong Health & Safety knowledge
  • Experience working within ISO 9001 or quality-driven environments
  • NEBOSH qualification advantageous
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Comfortable dealing directly with customers and producing quotations
  • Hands-on, proactive and operationally minded approach
  • Full UK Driving Licence essential
  • Experience within export packing, shipping regulations or dangerous goods compliance would be highly beneficial.
