Our Outreach Worker roles are support-based, focused on guidance, encouragement, and empowering clients to achieve their goals. The work can be challenging, but also truly rewarding - made even more so by the supportive, values-driven team you’ll be part of.

Outreach Worker Essentials:

  • A genuine interest and concern for homelessness and related issues
  • Ability to positively contribute to a team
  • Deal promptly and effectively with challenging situations/crises in a calm manner
  • Strong communication skills, clear verbal and written English
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word

Outreach Worker Desirables:

  • Experience of managing a caseload of clients
  • Understanding of risk assessment and person-centred, outcomes-based delivery
  • Awareness of the support needs of people experiencing homelessness or those with complex needs
  • Knowledge of voluntary and statutory agencies, housing regulations and the benefits system
