Come make a real difference as our Income Collection Advisor. Everyone should have a warm, safe, affordable home. As part of our income team, you’ll play an important role in making this a reality for thousands of people in Gloucestershire and the surrounding areas.
You’ll be responsible for working with our tenants to enable them to pay their rent, problem solve and signpost for all tenancy types along with supporting tenants that fall into arrears with an aim to keep them in their homes. You will keep accurate records as you work with our tenants and partners to resolve any issues and represent Two Rivers Housing when it’s necessary to refer cases to court.
What you’ll bring to our team:
- Caring, respectful and with excellent communication skills, you will negotiate payment plans and provide basic welfare benefit and debt advice where appropriate.
- No two days will be the same in this role as every household is unique.
- You’ll be required to communicate with external agencies and local authorities.
- You’ll have the skills and experience to deal with challenging situations while providing a great customer experience from start to finish.
What we’re looking for:
- You are honest and sincere and focused on doing the right thing for our customers, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
- Positive, can-do attitude willing to go the extra mile.
- Experienced in providing advice, ideally with social housing or relevant sector such as debt management services.
- Diplomacy and excellent customer service resolution and negotiation skills.
- An organised person with the ability to manage their own workload.
Qualifications or experience we’d like you to have:
- Full UK driving licence and access to a car insured for business use.
- Knowledge and understanding of identifying safeguarding concerns.
